I will say that changing the files to an.iso made it run slightly more efficient but the real gains came when i started adjusting the graphics and audio. Currently I have 2x aa and 2x anistopic filtering as well as 15ms of latency on the sound. I would recommend running the progressive scan option as well as it'll make the textures smooth out a bit. Dolphin doesn't really like this game. Like I said before it runs smooth once you're in a fight but sometimes if too many things happen on the screen at once, it'll lag and very nearly bug out, sometimes it catches up with itself though. I'm going to try to adjust the CPU overclock settings next to see if I really should just be running it at the normal settings but I'm not 100% sure it'll help that much. If all else fails I'll just have to play a slightly buggy game (which in the fighting game world is typically a no no but I genuinely forgot how fun this game actually was back in the day.) Will update further once I make some progress, if any. I've been working with it for a minute and it's choppy at first when it loads up characters and animations but after you've been in combat for nearly any amount of time it evens out. I'm going to convert the.wbfs file to an ISO tomorrow to see if it helps with the interesting audio glitches I've been getting since I haven't been able to iron those out.
I'll report back if everything else gets solved too. Out of curiosity what are your laptop's specs, I know the Dolphin Emu site said that relatively old GPU's should still be able to run it fine, but even on my ridiculous setup (quad-core 970) i've noticed some interesting things.
